In keeping with Gateway International Group’s mission, whose goal is the acceleration of international learning and engagement by assisting institutions and organizations around the world to succeed in a new era of higher education, we established the Gateway Pledge that ensures the perennial support of Gateway International Group Education Abroad Scholarship Program.
Through Gateway Pledge, we demonstrate and reiterate our commitment to leading and contributing to the next generation of international education. Gateway Pledge is a proactive approach to create a more sustainable and responsible education abroad ecosystem that benefits both the industry and the community.
We recognise that the Gateway Community Investment is a team effort that is supported directly by the expertise of the Gateway Affiliates, operational contribution of the Gateway Associates, client projects and the international education community.
Gateway International Group has made the commitment to allocate 5% of revenue to support traditionally underrepresented student participation in international learning and engagement. We have designated the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) as a recipient of funds gathered through Gateway’s Virtual Education Abroad Office. FEA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented in U.S. education abroad.
The Gateway Education Abroad Scholarship was crafted to increase access to education abroad programs specifically among populations who traditionally were unable to access experiential learning opportunities. Preference for the Gateway International Group Education Abroad Scholarship is given to applicants who are first-generation college students, or those whose home or college of study are in Kentucky. The Gateway International Group Education Abroad Scholarship provides between $1,000 to $10,000 to U.S. citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the U.S.
