Following an extensive international search that included a highly competitive pool, we are pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Ramesh Neupane as director of International Programs and Partnerships at Purdue University Northwest. Dr. Neupane assumed his position on Aug. 7, 2023. Reporting to Dr. Raida Abuizam, Professor and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Neupane will develop and oversee faculty-directed, short-term, and semester-long Study Away programs, exchanges, and programs delivered by third-party providers. He will also support international internships, research experiences, and domestically based-off-campus educational programs and opportunities.
Dr. Neupane most recently served as associate director of Study Abroad Programs at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s (SIUC) Center for International Education. While at SIUC, he earned his Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Higher Education and was named assistant professor. Dr. Neupane earned his master’s degree in Education and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
